Gedik Piliç Receives Top Marks in the European Union

Gedik Piliç, the first chicken company to export from Turkey to EU countries, is continuing its trade operations, which began with the Netherlands, through collaborations with other European Union countries.

Gedik Piliç products, which have attracted considerable interest from EU countries since the start of exports, are preparing to hit the shelves of many EU countries quickly.

Gedik Piliç, a leading company in the poultry meat sector in Türkiye, has achieved another first after obtaining an EU export visa. In 2020, Gedik Piliç became the first and only Turkish company to export to China, the world's most populous country, and pioneered the poultry sector by exporting chicken meat from Turkey to the EU. Gedik Piliç, which received authorization to export poultry meat to the European Union (EU) following a study initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 2009 and concluded in December 2024, began EU trade with heat-treated chicken products in the Netherlands in May 2025.

Following its first export from Turkey to EU countries in May, Gedik Piliç received high marks from its business partners in the Netherlands for the quality, taste, and operational management of its products.

"We will ship products to the entire EU"

During visits conducted by Gedik Piliç Chairman Osman Gedik and Board Member Yağız Gedik, it was noted that Gedik Piliç products, following their success in the Netherlands, have attracted significant interest from other EU countries as well. In this regard, visits to countries where new partnerships have been developed continue at full speed.

In a statement on the subject, Chairman Osman Gedik said, “Gedik Piliç has always been a company of pioneers. Five years ago, Gedik Piliç was the first to export to China. Today, it is again Gedik Piliç that is the first to export to Europe. As the first company to export to Europe, we exported our advanced processing products to the Netherlands. Our goal is to export first to all EU member states and then to all of Europe, including the UK.”
